Hello friends, I’m Anshu Singh and in the last post, we discuss Active Directory Logical Structure and its Types. Today we discuss Active Directory Physical Structure and its Types. So, without any further delay let’s get started.
Active Directory Physical Structure
Physical Structure domain के रुप में configure की गई site और server शामिल होते है । Active Directory site एक physical location से अधिक कुछ नही है ।
जिसमे Domain Controller(DC) regularly information को flew और replicate करते हैं ।
Physical Structure के mainly two components होते है-
1) Domain Controller(DC)
2) Site(Place)
1. Domain Controller(Authentication Server)
DC Active Directory infrastructure का एक part होता है यह Active Directory database की copy को contain करता है । एक Active Directory एक या एक से अधिक DC के द्वारा host किया जाता है ।
एक DC windows server 2003 computer है जो कि AD database की copy को host करने के लिए configure किया जाता है और AD के others function में participate करता है ।
System Administrator AD Domain में object जैसे- users और group को create करता है ।
जब भी user domain में log on करने का प्रयास करता है तो DC authentication process perform करने के लिये responsible होता है ।
Multiple DC एक single domain में exist कर सकते है । और यह recommend किया जाता है कि कम से कम दो DC एक domain में exist करे ।
यह इसलिए किया जाता है क्योकि DC AD database को contain करता है और यदि एक DC fail होता है तो दूसरा DC domain के सभी आवश्यक function को handle कर सके ।
Functions of Domain Controller(DC)
1) Centralize management of network resources(users, groups, printers, computers, etc)
2) User and group authentication
3) Better password management
4) Software deployment
5) Replicate all changes to all other DCS.
6) Establish secure connections
7) Track all user and computer accounts.
2. Site
Site well-connected computers का समूह होता है । Site को बनाने का main reason site के अंदर communication को और अच्छा करना होता है ।
AD में site को define करने का main purpose directory synchronization और साथ ही local resources से connected users को network traffic को control करता है ।
Site latency को minimize करता है (एक DC में किया गया change दूसरी DC पर minimum time में replicate होना ) ।
Site को use करने का दूसरा कारण यह है कि यह Domain Controllers के बीच bandwidth को optimize करता है ।
Computer के actual physical location को जाने बिना सभी IP Subnet जो कि common LAN को share करते है, Site कहलाते है ।
Benefits of using Site
1) To optimize replication traffic
2) To allow users to connect to a domain controller using a reliable.
3) High-speed connection
